Conceived and managed and mostly written by Alan Twigg, B.C. BookWorld is a public service newspaper about books and authors pertaining to British Columbia. Published quarterly (March, June, September, November) since 1987, B.C. BookWorld is the largest-circulation independent publication about books in Canada. It is distributed by more than 600 outlets to approximately 100,000 readers per issue.
It’s decidedly different: it is designed to get as much information as possible, about as many books as possible, to as many people as possible. It does so in a lively tab format with a non-elitist style. B.C. BookWorld is supported by Pacific BookWorld News Society and designed by David Lester of Mecca Normal and Get To The Point Graphics. “In all sincerity,” said legendary publisher Jack McClelland, “let me say that I have never before encountered a book journal as engaging as B.C. BookWorld.”
